Son Jun-ho Exposes Seo Eunkwang's Late Arrivals in Musical Rehearsals

In a recent episode of the YouTube channel ‘조동아리’ (Jo Dongari), musical actor Son Jun-ho made some surprising revelations about fellow actor Seo Eunkwang. The episode, titled ‘[Unprecedented Situation] We Were Told to Talk, But Ended Up Eating,’ featured both actors as guests.
As the discussion turned to the musical ‘광화문 연가’ (Gwanghwamun Sonata), host Kim Yong-man reminisced about the show, recalling its creation in collaboration with the late composer Lee Young-hoon and singer Lee Moon-sae in 1986. This prompted a playful exchange with fellow guest Ji Seok-jin, who jokingly questioned Kim’s familiarity with Lee Moon-sae, asking if he had his phone number. Kim responded by boasting about their friendship, mentioning that Lee had treated him to meals and even entrusted him with radio guest spots.
The conversation took a humorous turn as Seo Eunkwang showcased his impressive eating skills, asking, “Excuse me, aren’t you eating?” which led to laughter among the guests. Son Jun-ho, while trying to keep the focus on the musical, expressed his surprise at Seo’s antics, but Seo continued to entertain with unexpected food-related humor. Kim Yong-man teased Seo, saying he was only focused on ‘두찜’ (Doojjim), a popular dish, and challenged him to choose between ‘광화문 연가’ and ‘두찜.’ Seo candidly admitted, “I can’t resist the food,” solidifying his status as a variety show star.
Seo Eunkwang proudly shared that he has been in the musical industry for ten years, having debuted in 2013 with ‘몬테크리스토’ (The Count of Monte Cristo) and performed in over ten productions. However, Son Jun-ho took the opportunity to humorously expose Seo’s less-than-punctual habits, stating, “While other seniors arrive 30 to 40 minutes early to rehearse, Eunkwang shows up just 5 to 10 minutes before.” He recounted a recent incident where he asked Seo why he was late, to which Seo replied, “I thought we were starting at 1 PM,” only to check the time and realize it was 12:59 PM, causing laughter in the studio. Kim Yong-man jokingly questioned Seo about his tardiness compared to other seniors like Yoon Do-hyun and Um Ki-joon, to which Seo responded with a sheepish smile, looking like the youngest member of the group.
As the playful banter continued, Kim Soo-yong directly asked Seo Eunkwang if he was satisfied with his pay in the musical industry. Seo replied, “I am grateful for what I receive,” which prompted Ji Seok-jin to tease him, calling it a “too safe answer” and eliciting more laughter from the group.
