Son Heung-min's Agency Declares Him a Victim in Extortion Case

Son Heung-min (손흥민), the captain of the South Korean national football team and Tottenham Hotspur player, is officially recognized as a victim in an extortion case involving individuals who claimed to be pregnant with his child. On May 15, his agency, Son & Football Limited, released a statement confirming that they have filed a complaint with the police against the perpetrators for blackmail. The agency stated, 'The player is clearly a victim,' and emphasized their commitment to pursuing strong legal action against those spreading false information and attempting to extort money from him.
The Gangnam Police in Seoul reported that they received the complaint on May 7, leading to the investigation of a woman in her 20s, referred to as A, and a man in his 40s, referred to as B, for extortion. Allegedly, A deceived Son last June by claiming she was pregnant and demanded millions of won. B is said to have approached Son recently in an attempt to extract a significant sum of money.
On May 14, the police obtained arrest warrants for A and B, and they were apprehended the same day. Authorities are currently investigating the details surrounding the case.
