So Ji-sub Revives 'I'm Sorry, I Love You' for Winter Viewing

The six-part director's cut of 'I'm Sorry, I Love You 2024' (미안하다, 사랑한다 2024) has been released as part of Wavve's New Classic Project, marking the 20th anniversary of this iconic drama that captivated audiences in 2004. So Ji-sub, who played the lead role, expressed his nostalgia and gratitude for the opportunity to revisit this beloved series, stating, "I feel deeply moved and honored to be able to present 'I'm Sorry, I Love You' to fans once again. Without the interest and love from many people, this would not have been possible."

The story follows Cha Mu-hyuk, a Korean adoptee raised in Australia, who returns to Korea with a terminal illness and embarks on a tragic love story. So Ji-sub described his character as someone who, despite a rough and lonely life, possesses a pure heart willing to risk everything for love. He fondly recalled the moment when Mu-hyuk and his love interest, Eun-chae (played by Im Soo-jung), first meet, calling it a memorable scene that has stayed with him.

To celebrate the release, Wavve has also shared behind-the-scenes photos of So Ji-sub, showcasing a contrast between Mu-hyuk's somber character and the actor's bright smile off-camera. The stylish looks captured in these images highlight the timeless appeal of the drama.
