SM Entertainment Unveils New Girl Group 'Hearts to Hearts'

SM Entertainment has officially introduced its new girl group, '하츠투하츠' (Hearts to Hearts), during the 'SM Town Live 2025 [The Culture, The Future] in Seoul' concert held at Gocheok Sky Dome on January 12, 2025. The group, consisting of eight members, showcased their vibrant visuals in a VCR that captivated the audience. They are set to make their official debut in February, marking SM's first girl group release since aespa's debut in December 2020, after a hiatus of over four years.
Hearts to Hearts is under SM's Prism Production, where staff, including center directors Choi Jin and Kim Wook, are diligently working to ensure a successful launch. Reports suggest that the group has even conducted a recent photoshoot in Jeju Island. With the extensive experience and expertise accumulated by SM and Prism Production, there is significant anticipation surrounding whether Hearts to Hearts can follow in the footsteps of iconic SM girl groups like S.E.S., Girls' Generation, f(x), Red Velvet, aespa, and GOT the Beat.
In November 2024, SM co-CEO Jang Cheol-hyuk hinted at the new girl group's debut while discussing the company's third-quarter performance, stating that the introduction of the new group would strengthen their artist lineup. He also mentioned plans for various projects, including concerts, albums, and merchandise, to celebrate SM's 30th anniversary and show appreciation to their fans.
