Sister of Late Taiwanese Actress Se Hee-won Shares Heartfelt Message

Two weeks have passed since the passing of Taiwanese actress Se Hee-won, who was also the wife of singer Gu Jun-yeop. On February 15, her sister, Se Hee-je, expressed her feelings on social media, thanking everyone for mourning her beloved sister in various ways. She added, 'Our family sincerely pays our respects.'

A week after Se Hee-won's death, Se Hee-je shared a poignant photo on her social media without any caption. The image featured a pearl hairpin with a ribbon knot, believed to be one of Se Hee-won's belongings, evoking deep sadness.

On February 13, Se Hee-je, Gu Jun-yeop, and other family members gathered at Se Hee-won's home with her close friends to hold a farewell ceremony. In accordance with Se Hee-won's wishes, they shared champagne and fruit while discussing their heartfelt thoughts.

A friend who attended the farewell ceremony noted, 'Everyone was very sad and comforted each other. Especially Se Hee-won's mother, sister Se Hee-je, and Gu Jun-yeop were still deeply grieving.' They mentioned that Gu Jun-yeop had lost a significant amount of weight, estimating around 6 kg, and everyone urged him to take care of himself.

Se Hee-won's funeral will be held as a natural burial, specifically a tree burial, which involves interring the ashes around the roots of a tree, allowing for a return to nature without artificial materials.

Se Hee-je stated through her agency, 'I remember Se Hee-won expressing her desire for an eco-friendly tree burial if she were to pass away. We are currently in the application process. Her remains will be temporarily kept at our warm home, and once the application is approved, we will return our beloved sister to nature.'

Se Hee-won tragically passed away on February 2 due to pneumonia caused by the flu while traveling in Japan with her family. Gu Jun-yeop and the family conducted some funeral procedures, including cremation, in Japan before returning to Taiwan with her remains on February 5.
