Eun Jong and Yoon Ddan Ddan's Divorce Drama Unfolds

The divorce between singer-songwriters Eun Jong (은종) and Yoon Ddan Ddan (윤딴딴) has escalated into a public dispute. Eun Jong has accused her husband of infidelity and domestic violence, while Yoon Ddan Ddan has acknowledged these claims but countered that he has been mentally and financially exhausted.

On June 14, Yoon Ddan Ddan expressed his deep apologies to fans and those around him on his Instagram, stating, "I am truly sorry to those who have been disappointed in me due to this incident."

He admitted to the existence of domestic violence, saying, "When disagreements arose, our arguments often escalated, leading to verbal and physical abuse from my wife. I acknowledge that I used force in response to her ongoing verbal and physical attacks. I deeply regret my actions as a man and a husband."

Regarding the allegations of infidelity, he stated, "Despite appearances, our married life was not normal. My wife often claimed that her monthly personal expenses exceeded 5 million KRW, including my salary, and I took on most household responsibilities and financial obligations. However, she frequently compared me to others and belittled me in front of people. This led to a significant loss of self-esteem and mental exhaustion, which ultimately resulted in me communicating with someone else. I sincerely apologize to my wife for the pain my actions have caused."

Yoon Ddan Ddan further revealed, "I no longer felt capable of maintaining our marriage. I ended up giving away all my cash, half of my music rights, my car, and custody of our dog after agreeing to her demands for divorce. Recently, she has requested an additional 20 million KRW, but I am unable to provide any more funds, which makes me feel sorry."

He concluded by promising to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future, saying, "I vow to become a better person. I apologize once again to those who have supported me and found comfort in my music. If even one person continues to support me, I will do my best to move forward in life."

Earlier, on June 12, Eun Jong announced on her Instagram that she had won a lawsuit against her husband's alleged mistress after a year-long dispute and is currently recovering from the mental and physical trauma she has endured.

She shared, "There were instances during our relationship where emotional conflicts escalated to physical harm. Despite recognizing these issues, we chose to trust each other and marry. However, the problems persisted. The unresolved infidelity and subsequent emotional conflicts have made it impossible to restore our relationship."

Eun Jong confirmed that she is currently in the process of negotiating a divorce with her husband, expressing her hope that this record will not lead to further conflict or pain and that the intent behind it remains intact.

Eun Jong debuted in 2014 with the OST "You Are My Love (유 아 마이 러브)" for tvN's "My Name is Kim Sam-soon (막돼먹은 영애씨 시즌13)". She married Yoon Ddan Ddan, who debuted with his single album "Half Past Five (반오십)" the same year, after five years of dating in 2019. They also released a project titled "Newlywed Diary (신혼일기)" capturing their early married life.
