Singer Soyou Donates 50 Million Won for Wildfire Relief Efforts

Singer Soyou has joined the efforts to support wildfire recovery by donating 50 million won to assist victims in the Gyeongbuk region and to aid the Red Cross's relief activities. On March 28, the Gyeongbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross announced her generous contribution. Soyou expressed her condolences to the victims of the devastating wildfires, stating, "I want to help in any way I can to restore the damage and support those affected." She added, "I hope this brings a little comfort and hope to those going through tough times, and I wish for everyone to regain their peaceful daily lives soon." Since 2015, Soyou has consistently donated to the Korean Red Cross. In 2018, she was appointed as an ambassador for the Seoul branch, and in 2022, she received the highest honor from the organization. Formerly a member of the girl group Sistar, Soyou is beloved for her sweet vocals, with hit songs including 'Touch My Body', 'Alone', and 'Some'. She has also recently appeared on MBC's Hidden Eye (히든아이).
