Singer Kim Yong-pil Faces Loss of His Father

Kim Yong-pil, a singer known for his participation in TV Chosun's 미스터트롯2 (Mr. Trot 2), has experienced the loss of his father, Kim Kwang-soo, who passed away in the early hours of February 1 due to health complications. According to a representative from Kim's agency, the funeral will be held at the Seoul Asan Medical Center starting at 3 PM on the same day. The wake is located in Room 30 of the funeral hall, and the burial will take place at 12 PM on February 3 at Seoul Memorial Park.

Kim Yong-pil gained attention during his time on 미스터트롯2 (Mr. Trot 2) for his unique background as a former announcer. After performing Choi Baek-ho's 'Regarding Romance,' he earned the nickname 'Trot Romantic Singer.' His polished stage presence and stable vocal performance have contributed to his successful transition into the trot music scene.

Since his debut, Kim has released his first single album 'Romantic Song' and followed it up with his second single albums 'Night of a Man' and 'It's Okay to Meet a Good Person.' He has actively participated in various entertainment programs, including TV Chosun's 미스터로또 (Mr. Lotto) and KBS's 가요무대 (Music Stage), and recently appeared on SBS's 트롯대전 (Trot Championship) at the end of last year. Leveraging his past experience, he has also taken on roles as an MC in various broadcasts, including TV Chosun's 슈퍼콘서트 (Super Concert), showcasing his versatility as both a singer and a host.
