Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo Takes on Trot Music in New Variety Show

Lee Min-woo, a member of the legendary K-pop group Shinhwa, is set to explore the world of trot music in the upcoming episode of KBS 2TV's variety show, Salim Nam (살림하는 남자들 시즌2), airing on February 8 at 9:25 PM.
In this episode, Lee Min-woo receives trot lessons after his parents encourage him to pursue a career as a trot singer, recognizing his talent in the genre. This suggestion leads him into deep contemplation about his musical path.
To seek advice, he meets comedian Heo Kyung-hwan, who has released several trot albums. With Heo's support, Lee Min-woo gets the opportunity to meet the renowned trot artist Seol Woon-do. During their meeting, Lee Min-woo shares, "I have sung trot songs at concerts for my parents. This year, I want to learn trot properly."
However, Seol Woon-do humorously advises him, "Our lives are songs. Get married first," leaving both Lee Min-woo and Heo Kyung-hwan in a state of surprise. He even predicts that Lee Min-woo is more likely to get married first, jokingly adding, "Heo Kyung-hwan is handsome, but if you look closely..." which brings laughter to the conversation.
Heo Kyung-hwan, curious about Seol Woon-do's extensive career as a songwriter and composer spanning over 40 years, inquires about his royalties from hit songs like 'Samba's Woman', 'Love's Twist', 'Purple Postcard', and 'Let's Cha Cha Cha'.
Later, Lee Min-woo showcases a vibrant dance performance of 'Love's Twist' in front of Seol Woon-do, who provides candid feedback and expresses optimism about gifting him a song. Seol Woon-do's recent hit 'My Love Like Starlight', gifted to singer Lim Young-woong, has garnered approximately 73 million views on its music video, raising anticipation about whether Lee Min-woo will receive a similar hit from him.
