SHINee's Onew Unveils Preview of New Album 'CONNECTION'

Onew, a member of the group SHINee, has released a preview of his new album, 'CONNECTION', in which he participated in the production of all tracks. The preview was shared today (December 27) at midnight on his official YouTube channel, showcasing highlights from the mini-album.

Filmed entirely on location in Prague, Czech Republic, the preview features Onew reminiscing about forgotten memories while spending time with his mother and observing a child riding a bicycle. The exotic scenery enhances the deepened atmosphere surrounding Onew.

The album 'CONNECTION' includes a dreamy pop track titled 'Promise You (프로미스 유)', followed by '소년', which boasts a vintage sound reminiscent of 70s disco. Other tracks include '번져 (gradation)', which focuses on Onew's vocals with its minimal sound, 'Conversation (컨버세이션)', characterized by its lively drum and bass rhythms, and '만세', which offers a catchy and fresh melody.

Notably, the title track 'Winner (위너)' features a strong guitar and keyboard presence, with a powerful band sound in the chorus. The lyrics were crafted by the renowned songwriter Seo Ji-eum, hinting at a strong synergy with Onew.

'CONNECTION' marks Onew's return with a new mini-album approximately four months after the release of his third mini-album 'FLOW' in September. This album emphasizes the organic connection between Onew's inner and outer selves, showcasing a diverse range of his charm that fans have yet to see. Onew's involvement in the production and songwriting of all tracks in 'CONNECTION' signifies his evolution as a solo artist.
