SHINee Releases New Single 'Poet

The popular K-pop group SHINee (샤이니), under SM Entertainment, is set to unveil their new single 'Poet | Artist' (포에트 | 아티스트) along with its title track music video tonight at midnight (12 AM KST). The single features two tracks: the title song 'Poet | Artist' and an additional song titled 'Starlight' (스타라이트). Both tracks will be available on various music platforms starting at midnight, and the music video for 'Poet | Artist' will be released simultaneously on the SMTOWN YouTube channel.

The title track 'Poet | Artist' is an electro-pop song that combines a catchy vocal riff with a snappy snare and reggae rhythms, delivering a harmonious sound. The lyrics convey a powerful message about breaking boundaries and creating new experiences in both art and everyday life, drawing on the themes of being a poet and an artist.

Additionally, the track 'Starlight' is a medium-tempo dance-pop song that features funky electric guitar sounds complemented by synth pads, creating a refreshing vibe. The lyrics metaphorically express the emotions felt during the first encounter with someone special, likening it to being illuminated by starlight in the darkness. SHINee's vibrant energy and layered harmonies enhance the listening experience.

Prior to the single's release, SHINee performed both new songs during their seventh solo concert 'SHINee WORLD Ⅶ [E.S.S.A.Y] (Every Stage Shines Around You)' on May 23, where they received an enthusiastic response from the audience for their unique musical style and intricate performances.

A teaser for the 'Poet | Artist' music video was unexpectedly revealed after the encore of the concert, generating excitement among fans. The full music video is anticipated to match the song's lyrical and emotional depth, further heightening interest.

Following their concert on May 23, SHINee will continue performing at the KSPO DOME in Seoul until May 25, and the single 'Poet | Artist' will also be released as a physical album on May 26.
