Shin Se-kyung's Cyberbully Arrested Amid Ongoing Harassment Case

On December 20, it was announced that a perpetrator responsible for cyberbullying actress Shin Se-kyung has been apprehended. Her agency, The Present Company, revealed that the individual had engaged in years of online harassment, targeting not only the actress but also her fans, family, and acquaintances. This included threats, malicious slander, the spread of false information, and abusive language, causing significant psychological distress. Legal proceedings are currently underway.

The agency stated, "We have been operating a dedicated team in collaboration with Ascendant Law Firm for several months to gather evidence. We utilized all available legal measures, and the reports from fans were instrumental in this process. We want to make it clear that we will respond firmly to any similar incidents in the future. Cyberbullying, especially when masked by anonymity, has become a serious social issue. We hope this arrest will contribute to fostering a healthier communication culture."

Shin Se-kyung signed with The Present Company in July and is set to return to the big screen in the film 'Humint' (휴민트), directed by Ryoo Seung-wan.
