Shin Dong-yeop Teases Park Gu-yoon on 'Current King of Masked Singers 2'

On the December 24 episode of Current King of Masked Singers 2 (현역가왕2), host Shin Dong-yeop playfully teased contestant Park Gu-yoon during the '1-on-1 Deathmatch' segment. The episode showcased the remaining contestants as they prepared for the second round of the finals, dubbed the 'Relay Fan Heart Hunting Mission.'
The contestants were divided into five teams, competing in three rounds of group performances, duets, and trios, with only the top-performing team advancing while the others faced elimination.
Team leader Hwang Min-ho, along with members Park Gu-yoon, Kim Soo-chan, Shin Seung-tae, and Gong Hoon, performed 'Bae Ttira' with choreography that energized the audience. The celebrity judging panel praised their teamwork, noting the evident effort put into their rehearsals.
In a light-hearted moment, Shin Dong-yeop remarked, "They practiced so much that any mistakes in their dancing weren't noticeable, but I could see some up close. It almost brought a tear to my eye."
Feeling a bit defensive, Park Gu-yoon responded, "I took expensive private lessons from a dance instructor," to which Shin Dong-yeop humorously suggested, "If you paid that much, you should sue them!"
Additionally, contestant Hwanhee surprised everyone with his breakdancing skills during the team mission. His friend Lin chimed in, saying, "Hwanhee originally trained as a b-boy. He even joined SM Entertainment for his dancing."
Current King of Masked Singers 2 is a competitive survival show aimed at selecting the top seven male singers from South Korea to represent the country in the upcoming Korea-Japan King of Singers competition, commemorating the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations, set to take place in 2025.
