SEVENTEEN's New Unit Hoshi and Woozi Showcase Unmatched Chemistry with 'BEAM'

SEVENTEEN's latest special unit, Hoshi and Woozi, has officially launched, proving their incredible chemistry as they release their first single 'BEAM' along with the music video for the title track '동갑내기' (Same Age) on March 10 at 6 PM KST across various music platforms.

Following the success of previous units like BSS and Jeonghan & Wonwoo, Hoshi and Woozi are the third special unit from SEVENTEEN. The group has consistently achieved remarkable results with each new unit, with BSS captivating fans with tracks like '거침없이' (Without Hesitation) and '청바지' (Jeans), while Jeonghan & Wonwoo set a record for the highest first-week sales for a K-pop unit album with their debut single 'THIS MAN' last June.

Hoshi and Woozi, who have been friends since they were born in 1996, reunite as a special unit nearly eight years after collaborating on the track '날 쏘고 가라' (Shoot Me) from their second studio album 'TEEN, AGE' released in November 2017. Their roles as leaders of the performance and vocal teams, respectively, add to the anticipation surrounding their collaboration.

The album title 'BEAM' symbolizes the light emitted by Hoshi and Woozi, showcasing their originality and self-love developed through years of challenges since their trainee days. The duo's confidence and passion for music shine brightly, making them irreplaceable icons on stage.

The album features three tracks, including the title song '동갑내기', 'PINOCCHIO (feat. So!YoON!)', and 'STUPID IDIOT'. The title track '동갑내기' reflects the lighthearted narrative of their long friendship, capturing their growth from meeting as middle schoolers to aspiring artists.

The music video showcases the duo's swag, set against a catchy hip-hop beat, with lyrics that exude self-love, such as 'Just like this, try it like us' and 'the leader among the Monkey Kings'.

The track 'PINOCCHIO' explores the bittersweet irony of love growing as one hides their true feelings, featuring a dreamy collaboration with So!YoON, the frontwoman of the band 새소년 (N.Flying). The other track, 'STUPID IDIOT', presents a cheerful take on Hoshi and Woozi enjoying the moment freely and boldly.

Returning as the self-loving '동갑내기' after 7 years and 4 months, Hoshi and Woozi are expected to showcase a more mature and relaxed side of themselves, promising exciting performances ahead.
