SEVENTEEN's Japanese Single Debuts at No. 1 on Oricon Daily Chart

The popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN (에스쿱스, 정한, 조슈아, 준, 호시, 원우, 우지, 디에잇, 민규, 도겸, 승관, 버논, 디노) has made a remarkable entry with their fourth Japanese single, 'Shohikigen (消費期限/소비기한)', which has debuted at the top of the Oricon Daily Single Ranking.
According to the latest chart released by Oricon on November 27, the single sold an impressive 362,369 copies on its first day, securing the number one spot.
The title track 'Shohikigen' is a heartfelt ballad that showcases the members' delicate vocal expressions, exploring themes related to the expiration of emotions. The song has gained significant attention as it serves as the theme song for the popular NHK drama '未の私にぶっかまされる!?(미라이노 와타시니 붓카마사레루!?)'. The accompanying music video has also topped the 'Music Video Top 100' on major local streaming platform Line Music.
Earlier this year, SEVENTEEN achieved similar success with their best album '17 IS RIGHT HERE' released in April and their mini-album 'SPILL THE FEELS' in October, both of which reached the top of the Oricon Daily Album Ranking. Additionally, the single 'THIS MAN' by members Jeonghan (정한) and Wonwoo (원우) released in June also claimed the number one spot on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking. With 'Shohikigen' now joining this list, SEVENTEEN's immense popularity in Japan is further solidified.
To expand their influence in Japan, SEVENTEEN is set to hold their 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN' across four major domes. The tour kicks off on November 29-30 at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya, followed by dome performances on December 4-5, and then at the Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 12 and 14-15, concluding with shows at the Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 19 and 21-22. In the cities hosting the concerts (Aichi, Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka), a city-themed concert play park titled 'SEVENTEEN THE CITY' will also be held.
