SEVENTEEN's Hoshi Becomes a 'Fanboy' on New Show with G-Dragon
Hoshi from the idol group SEVENTEEN has officially become a 'fanboy' as he joins his fellow members Seungkwan and Dokyeom in the new variety show 'GD and Friends' (working title) alongside BIGBANG's G-Dragon. According to reports on December 13, the unit group BSS, consisting of Seungkwan, Dokyeom, and Hoshi, will appear on this highly anticipated program. Hoshi, who has openly expressed his admiration for G-Dragon, is set to solidify his status as a devoted fan.
'GD and Friends' is a new variety show that has generated excitement due to the collaboration between G-Dragon and producer Kim Tae-ho. The show is also rumored to be known by another title, 'Good Day.' As suggested by the title, the program will feature G-Dragon meeting with his celebrity friends, sharing stories and experiences.
While specific details about the show’s content and title are still under wraps, producer Kim Tae-ho has indicated that more information will be revealed in due time. Despite this, 'GD and Friends' is already drawing attention with its impressive lineup of guests. Notably, comedian Jung Hyung-don recently filmed with G-Dragon for the first time in 12 years since their collaboration on 'Infinite Challenge' in 2013.
The guest list also includes comedian Jo Se-ho, actors Kim Soo-hyun, Im Si-wan, and Jung Hae-in, all born in 1988 like G-Dragon. Additionally, actress Kim Go-eun, a Chanel ambassador like G-Dragon, and the popular actor Hwang Jung-min, known for his roles in blockbuster films, are set to appear.
The music lineup is equally exciting, featuring BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung, along with the girl group aespa, who will perform together at the 2024 MAM. BSS's participation in 'GD and Friends' is expected to highlight the interactions between junior and senior idols.
'GD and Friends' is currently in discussions for airing on MBC in the first half of 2025.
