SEVENTEEN Unveils New Concept Teasers for 'HAPPY BURSTDAY'
The highly anticipated transformation of SEVENTEEN (에스쿱스, 정한, 조슈아, 준, 호시, 원우, 우지, 디에잇, 민규, 도겸, 승관, 버논, 디노) has officially begun. On May 8, the group shared the final version of their fifth studio album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' titled 'NEW BURSTDAY' through their official social media channels, featuring a concept teaser, 62 photos, and 12 films.
The concept teaser showcases the members' rebirth through self-transformation, with their birth dates and the significant 10th anniversary rebirth date '250526' displayed beneath their portraits, capturing attention.
Their bold transformations are striking, as the members sport daring hairstyles in shades of pink, red, and blonde, along with eye-catching accessories and vibrant makeup, exuding a provocative aura. The scars visible on their faces symbolize the marks of their self-reinvention. Particularly in the frontal profile shots, there is a palpable determination to face challenges head-on, regardless of any scars.
The celebratory atmosphere of SEVENTEEN's rebirth is enhanced by colorful lighting reminiscent of a cult film scene. The concept film vividly captures the members' dynamic actions, with flickering flames and intense sounds amplifying the passionate ambiance.
Additionally, the new team rings have garnered attention. SEVENTEEN previously revealed two types of team rings to commemorate their fifth album and 10th anniversary, receiving enthusiastic responses from fans. These rings are symbolic items for SEVENTEEN and are renewed with each album release. Voice messages from the members, such as "WE ARE NEW SEVENTEEN" and "Please celebrate the new SEVENTEEN," have also been shared on social media, heightening anticipation for the upcoming release.
SEVENTEEN's fifth studio album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' is set to be released on May 26 at 6 PM. Following the release of three concept photos and films, the group will unveil the tracklist on May 13, a highlight medley on May 16, and two official teasers on May 23 and 24. A 'B-DAY PARTY' will be held from May 23 to 25 to celebrate SEVENTEEN's 10th anniversary, culminating in a 'BURST Stage' event on May 25 at the Jamsu Bridge in Seoul, the day before the album's release.
