SEVENTEEN Sets New Records in Oricon Annual Rankings

The popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN (에스쿱스, 정한, 조슈아, 준, 호시, 원우, 우지, 디에잇, 민규, 도겸, 승관, 버논, 디노) has achieved remarkable success in the Oricon annual rankings, following their recent accolades from Billboard Japan. On December 20, Oricon announced the 'Oricon Annual Ranking 2024', covering the period from December 25, 2023, to December 16, 2024. In the 'Combined Album Ranking' category, SEVENTEEN's best album '17 IS RIGHT HERE' secured the 3rd position, while their 12th mini album 'SPILL THE FEELS' came in 5th. These rankings mark the highest positions for works by overseas artists.

This year, SEVENTEEN has consistently broken records for first-week album sales among international artists with both their best album and mini album, showcasing their immense popularity in Japan. They are also the only artist to have two albums in the top 10 of the 'Combined Album Ranking' both in Japan and internationally.

In the 'Album Ranking' category, SEVENTEEN continued to shine, placing their best album at 4th and their mini album at 5th, while their 11th mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN', released last October, ranked 13th. SEVENTEEN is the only artist to have three works in the top 15 of this category.

Additionally, SEVENTEEN's 4th Japanese single 'Shohikigen (消費期限/소비기한)' ranked 17th in the 'Single Ranking' category. Notably, this single, released on November 27, made it onto the annual rankings with only two weeks of sales.

Earlier, SEVENTEEN also achieved the highest rankings among international artists in Billboard Japan's '2024 Annual Charts' for 'Hot Albums' and 'Top Album Sales'.

Their local popularity is further evidenced by their ongoing concert tour. SEVENTEEN kicked off their 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR' at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya on November 29-30, and they are set to perform 10 shows across four domes in Japan. Following their performance on December 19, they will conclude the tour with shows at the Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 21 and 22. In the four regions where the concerts are held, SEVENTEEN is also showcasing 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] THE CITY', combining their IP with local infrastructure.
