SEVENTEEN Secures Back-to-Back Wins with 'THUNDER' on Music Core

SEVENTEEN has achieved a remarkable feat by clinching the top spot on MBC's Show! Music Core for two consecutive weeks with their hit song 'THUNDER', marking their seventh win on music shows.

During the June 14 broadcast, 'THUNDER' once again took the crown, continuing its impressive run. The episode also featured the comeback stage of KISS OF LIFE, who showcased their new track 'Lips Hips Kiss', a feminine R&B hip-hop title that captivated audiences with its diverse genre appeal and solid performance.

Primrose made their return with the EDM/pop song 'CINEMA', blending sophisticated synths and refined beats with their delicate vocal style. The track evokes the clarity of first encounters and the nostalgia of memories, drawing listeners into a romantic cinematic experience.

A special debut stage was presented by the unit 'Double One', formed by members of BAE173 and FANTASY BOYS, performing their debut song 'On the Rocks with Kiss'. This track features a rhythmic Latin beat that captures the tension of a thrilling moment, enhanced by a provocative performance that engages the audience.

After a quick two-month comeback, izna returned with 'BEEP', a trendy dance track that likens the excitement of love to an emergency alert. The song's refreshing synth sounds and bouncy rhythm showcased their lively and charming persona.

ARTMS also made a comeback with 'Icarus', a song that expresses hope for healing and renewal, inspired by the myth of Icarus. Their performance combined intricate piano lines with modern choreography, creating an artistic stage.

Kim Wan-sun's stage for 'HI ROSA' featured a blend of reggaeton and Afrobeat in a Latin pop song. The lyrics tell the story of resilience, likening the speaker to a rose that continues to bloom despite challenges. Kim's performance highlighted her signature tone and legendary stage presence.

ITZY returned as a full group after eight months, performing their title track 'Girls Will Be Girls' and the album track 'KISS & TELL'. They described their new album as a perfect representation of their shining narrative through unity, with 'Girls Will Be Girls' delivering a message of fearlessness against societal judgments.

ATEEZ shed their intense image for a refreshing summer song, 'Lemon Drop', an R&B and hip-hop track aimed at capturing the essence of summer. They described it as a cute and sweet seasonal confession, bringing a lively vibe to the stage.

NCT's Doyoung closed the show with his solo track '안녕, 우주 (Memory)', a rock song that reflects on cherished memories. His powerful vocals paired with a vibrant guitar riff created an emotional finale, resonating deeply with fans.
