SEVENTEEN Releases New Japanese Single 'Shohikigen' Today

K-pop group SEVENTEEN (에스쿱스, 정한, 조슈아, 준, 호시, 원우, 우지, 디에잇, 민규, 도겸, 승관, 버논, 디노) has unveiled their fourth Japanese single today, November 27. The new single, titled 'Shohikigen (消費期限/소비기한)', is now available on various music streaming platforms. This album features three tracks, including the title song 'Shohikigen', 'Circles -Japanese ver.-', and 'MAESTRO -Japanese ver.-'.

The title track 'Shohikigen' is a ballad that highlights string and guitar sounds, expressing the contemplation of emotional expiration through its lyrics. As the song progresses, the atmosphere intensifies, showcasing the members' emotional delivery. The track was crafted by SEVENTEEN's album producers Woozi (우지) and Bumzu (범주), and it has gained attention as the theme song for the popular Japanese NHK drama '未の私にぶっかまされる!?(미라이노 와타시니 붓카마사레루!?)'.

The music video for 'Shohikigen' continues the narrative from the music video of SEVENTEEN's previous Japanese best album title track 'Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow-'. While the former dealt with the day before the world's end, the new music video depicts life 1000 days after the apocalypse, featuring the members reminiscing about past memories aboard a massive spaceship.

SEVENTEEN is set to maintain their popularity in Japan with an upcoming dome tour. They will kick off their 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN' at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya on November 29-30, followed by performances at Tokyo Dome on December 4-5, Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 12 and 14-15, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 19 and 21-22. In the cities of Aichi, Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, SEVENTEEN will also host a city-themed concert play park called 'SEVENTEEN The City', integrating their IP with local infrastructure.
