SEVENTEEN Nominated for Top K-Pop Touring Artist at the 2024 BBMAs

The popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN (에스쿱스, 정한, 조슈아, 준, 호시, 원우, 우지, 디에잇, 민규, 도겸, 승관, 버논, 디노) is set to compete for an award at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) in the United States. According to the official finalist list released by Billboard on November 25, SEVENTEEN has been nominated for the 'Top K-Pop Touring Artist' category.

Following their successful 'SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’', which took place from July of last year to January of this year across nine global cities with 20 performances, the group showcased their exceptional stage presence with 'SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ AGAIN' in major stadiums in Korea and Japan this year. Notably, they became the second K-pop act to perform at the Kanagawa Nissan Stadium, Japan's largest venue, demonstrating their impressive ability to draw large crowds.

As a result of their achievements, SEVENTEEN ranked highest among K-pop artists in the 'Top Tour' category of Billboard's box score semi-annual report for the period from October 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.

Their new world tour, 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR', is also progressing well. The tour kicked off on October 12-13 at the Goyang Sports Complex, attracting over 58,000 fans, and has seen sold-out shows in five cities across the United States. SEVENTEEN will continue their tour in Japan at four domes in November and December, followed by performances in major Asian cities in January and February of next year.

In addition, SEVENTEEN recently won the 'Best Group' award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) and took home five trophies, including 'Artist of the Year' and 'Album of the Year' at the 2024 MAMA AWARDS.

The BBMAs is regarded as one of the four major music award ceremonies in the United States, alongside the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV VMA. The ceremony will take place on December 12 and will be broadcast on FOX and Amazon Fire TV, with streaming available later on Paramount+.
