Seungkwan and Dokyeom Share Their Close Friendship Story on Salon Drip Season 2

In the latest episode of Salon Drip Season 2, members Seungkwan (승관) and Dokyeom (도겸) from the group BSS (부석순) opened up about their friendship, revealing how they became close through their experiences as trainees. The episode aired on January 21, 2025, and marked BSS's return after a two-year hiatus.
When asked if there were any conflicts among the members, Seungkwan and Dokyeom laughed and admitted, "There are some, but we have unique personalities that sometimes clash." Seungkwan noted that as the leader, Dokyeom does a good job of keeping things in check. When host Jang Do-yeon asked if Dokyeom tends to express his sensitivity, Seungkwan playfully replied, "He's not that nice; he doesn't like being called nice."
The duo discussed their personalities, mentioning that they sometimes find it hard to gauge each other's feelings. However, they often resolve misunderstandings with light-hearted jokes. Seungkwan reminisced about their trainee days, saying, "There were times we didn't talk after a fight, just out of pride. We would avoid eye contact while harmonizing, focusing on our noses instead," which brought laughter to the group. They both agreed that they have learned to navigate their differences more flexibly now, emphasizing their deep affection for each other.
Seungkwan also shared that they have been a duo since their trainee days, being the main vocal line. He mentioned that while the company tried to create a rivalry between them, he never felt competitive. "I need to correct that; we do have a comedic rivalry, especially with Dokyeom's happy virus energy," he said, adding that they grew closer through their disagreements.
In a touching moment, Seungkwan recalled a day when Dokyeom expressed his love for the members, which made him cry. "When he explained why he was crying, I ended up tearing up too," he laughed. He noted that there are moments when he locks eyes with Dokyeom that bring back memories of their struggles as trainees, often leading to emotional reflections.
When asked if there was anything he wanted to convey, Seungkwan shared advice for their juniors, saying, "I told them to fight a lot, but also to find their own comfortable ways to resolve conflicts. I really care about you all, and if you don't want to fight, you don't have to. Just find a way that works for you." This heartfelt message showcased the strong bond and affection between the seniors and juniors in the industry.
