Seoul Official Dismissed for Conduct Violations During Live Broadcast
A public servant in their 30s, identified as A, has been dismissed from their position at a district office in Seoul after violating conduct regulations. The decision was made during a personnel committee meeting on June 27, where it was determined that A had breached the obligation to maintain decorum. Dismissal is one of six disciplinary actions available for local government employees, which also include suspension, demotion, and reprimand. A dismissal prevents reemployment in public service for three years. The investigation into A began after it was revealed that they hosted a live broadcast at an entertainment venue in February, where they summoned a karaoke assistant.
