Seojanghoon Critiques Guest's Troubled Life on 'What Do You Want to Ask?'

On the March 17 episode of KBS Joy's 'What Do You Want to Ask?' (무엇이든 물어보살), Seojanghoon delivered a stern message to a guest who expressed a desire to turn their life around after a series of unfortunate events. The guest shared their struggles, stating, "I want to leave behind a life filled with troubles and start anew." They revealed a past marriage that ended in divorce due to significant debt, approximately 50 million KRW, which they discovered shortly after getting married. The guest mentioned that their ex-husband is currently raising their child.
After the divorce, the guest engaged in various relationships and pursued a career as a nursing assistant, which they found unsuitable. They recounted experiences of harassment from patients and frustration from doctors, leading to stress and excessive spending. This ultimately resulted in depression and panic disorder.
The guest's debt escalated to 32 million KRW, but they managed to reduce it to 28 million KRW through a personal rehabilitation process. However, after undergoing a hair transplant, their debt increased to 40 million KRW due to spending on gaming. They continued to work and currently have 13.5 million KRW remaining in debt.
The guest admitted to coping with stress through alcohol, which led to violent altercations, resulting in four fines and one suspended indictment. They also mentioned a relationship with a boyfriend who is eight years older, which has been strained due to alcohol-related arguments. The guest described a shocking incident where they drank five bottles of soju after their boyfriend suggested breaking up, leading to a confrontation with an elderly man who intervened.
The guest faced legal consequences for their actions, spending ten days in detention and three months in jail. They noted that the elderly man involved was unharmed, and their father even apologized to him.
In response to the guest's story, Seojanghoon remarked, "You're living recklessly, doing whatever you want. Just because you're feeling down, does that give you the right to act out? I'm not dismissing your depression and panic disorder, but constantly bringing it up only serves as an excuse to hide behind it."
