Seo Ye-ji Addresses Gaslighting Controversy on SNL Korea

On April 12, 2025, actress Seo Ye-ji appeared as the host on Coupang Play's SNL Korea 7, where she showcased her comedic talents alongside the crew through various skits. In the first segment, 'Seo Ye-GPT,' she humorously parodied the ongoing gaslighting controversy surrounding her. The second segment, 'Eve's Hair Salon,' also touched on the gaslighting issue and the so-called 'Kim Ddak-Dak' incident.

In 'Eve's Hair Salon,' Seo Ye-ji played a hair designer who flirted with Kim Min-kyu. With sultry looks and playful interactions, she successfully promoted a volume magic service, creating a humorous atmosphere with lines like, 'I’ll give it to you cheap' and 'Please make it cheaper.'

Following this, she flirted with Kim Won-hoon, complimenting his looks while washing his hair. When she noted that his neck seemed stiff, she began to massage him. Kim Won-hoon responded by acknowledging the stiffness, humorously referencing Seo Ye-ji's past gaslighting controversy involving Kim Jung-hyun, known as the 'Kim Ddak-Dak' incident. Seo Ye-ji appeared flustered but quickly corrected herself, insisting it was 'solid' rather than 'stiff.' However, Kim Won-hoon playfully insisted on using the term 'stiff,' leading Seo Ye-ji to playfully hit his neck to emphasize her correction.

Later, Seo Ye-ji attended to Ji Ye-eun, who had come in for a haircut after breaking up with her boyfriend. When Ji Ye-eun's ex-boyfriend demanded the return of gifts he had given her, she slapped him and retorted, 'Go home and deal with your junk car!' The audience applauded her boldness, and Seo Ye-ji ended the segment by sharing her signature eye smile with Ji Ye-eun.
