Seo Kang-joon Faces Murder Charges in Undercover High School

Seo Kang-joon has been arrested on charges of murdering Lee Seo-hwan in the latest episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama, Undercover High School (언더커버 하이스쿨). In episode 11, his character, Jeong Hae-sung, finds himself thrust into a dire situation, being accused of murder overnight. The episode garnered impressive ratings, achieving 6.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 6.0% nationwide, with a peak of 10.3% during a tense scene involving Hae-sung's transport vehicle. The 2049 demographic rating, a key indicator of a show's competitiveness, stood at 2.2%, reflecting the drama's strong appeal among viewers.
In the previous episode, Seo Myung-joo (played by Kim Shin-rok) discovers a hidden passage beneath a bust and enters in search of gold bars, only to find no trace of them, leading to her frustration. Meanwhile, Hae-sung uncovers his father's skeletal remains in the underground area, along with a bullet casing. Forensic analysis reveals that the firearm used was exclusive to high-ranking officials in the National Intelligence Service 22 years ago, and it was reported that Lee Seo-hwan had previously lost a bullet casing.
Confronting Lee Seo-hwan in his hotel room, Hae-sung demands answers about the bullet found with his father's remains, leading to a fierce struggle between the two. Security personnel intervene, dragging Hae-sung away just as his allies, Oh Soo-ah (Jin Ki-joo) and the National Intelligence Service's Domestic Team 4, rush to his aid. Despite the chaos, Hae-sung manages to escape.
Hae-sung grows suspicious of Myung-joo, as both his father's notebook and death occurred at the hospital where she and Lee Seo-hwan were involved. He also discovers shocking information through eavesdropping on Lee Seo-hwan's phone, revealing that Myung-joo shot and killed his father during a confrontation years ago.
Later, when Hae-sung visits Lee Seo-hwan, he finds him bleeding in his car, but before he can react, he is struck on the head and loses consciousness. This incident leads to Hae-sung being wrongfully accused of murder, escalating the drama's tension. The episode concludes with a gripping standoff between Hae-sung and Myung-joo in the interrogation room.
In the final moments of the episode, Hae-sung engages in a struggle with police while being transported, resulting in a collision that flips the vehicle. He manages to escape by retrieving a key from a detective's pocket to free himself from handcuffs. In a desperate move, he calls Soo-ah from a payphone, asking for help just before he collapses, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats for the next episode.
As Undercover High School (언더커버 하이스쿨) progresses, Hae-sung uncovers the truth behind his father's death while facing the unjust murder charges. The upcoming finale promises to reveal how Hae-sung will protect himself and what fate awaits Myung-joo, keeping audiences guessing until the very end.
