Seo Hyun-rim Breaks Down Remembering Late Mother-in-Law Kim Soo-mi on 'Dad and Me'

On the March 25 episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'Dad and Me' (아빠하고 나하고), Seo Hyun-rim became emotional as she recalled her late mother-in-law, Kim Soo-mi. Upon entering the studio, host Jeon Hyun-moo remarked on her noticeably thinner appearance, expressing concern that it might be due to emotional distress. Seo Hyun-rim shared, "I can only think about what I couldn't do for her; she was such a huge presence in my life. I don't know how to move forward."

She continued, "The pain I felt has surpassed a threshold where I can no longer recognize it. It's still hard to believe my mother has passed away. I live with daily regrets and self-blame," as tears filled her eyes.

Seo Hyun-rim reflected on the widespread grief felt by the public, stating, "I thought it was just our family’s loss, but everyone mourned her. My mother-in-law was truly an extraordinary person, which makes it difficult for me to talk about her."

Jeon Hyun-moo expressed his shock at the sudden news of Kim Soo-mi's passing, recalling how vibrant and healthy she appeared during her recent activities. He empathized with the family’s grief, noting how hard it must be for them.

Chef Yeo Kyung-rye also shared her sorrow, mentioning that she and her fellow chefs were among the first to visit the mourning site after hearing the news. She lamented how quickly Kim Soo-mi left this world. The group expressed hope that Seo Hyun-rim would return to her cheerful self soon, acknowledging the special bond she shared with her mother-in-law.
