Seo Hyun Rim Faces Ongoing Payment Issues with Former Agency

Actress Seo Hyun Rim has reportedly been unable to receive her settlement payments from her former agency for the past four years. A representative from her current agency, Inure Entertainment, stated on December 18 that Seo has not received her acting fees from her previous agency, led by former CEO Kim Sun Ok. The representative noted that Kim has not responded to any attempts to contact her, either directly or through others. It is also understood that management staff who were with Seo at the time have not received their expenses either.
According to a report by Dispatch earlier that day, Seo filed a lawsuit against Kim Sun Ok in 2022, claiming approximately 89 million won in unpaid fees. Although she won the case last year, she has yet to receive the full amount, which has now accrued legal interest, bringing the total to about 120 million won.
In October, Seo submitted a mediation request to the Korea Entertainment Management Association to resolve the outstanding payment issues, alleging that her fees were misappropriated. Kim has reportedly claimed that she is unable to make the payments due to financial difficulties.
Additionally, Seo's mother-in-law, the late actress Kim Soo Mi, has also been preparing for legal action after not receiving her performance fees for the musical 'Dear Mother' since last year, amounting to 160 million won.
