Seo Hyun Rim Claims Unpaid Fees Exceeding 100 Million Won from Former Agency

Actress Seo Hyun Rim has reportedly not received over 100 million won in fees from her former agency, Majique, for the past four years. On December 18, her current agency, Inure Entertainment, stated that Majique has also failed to pay salaries and operational costs for former employees. According to a report by Dispatch, Seo filed a lawsuit against Majique's CEO, Kim Sun Ok, in 2022 for an outstanding payment of 89 million won and won the case, but has yet to receive the funds. In October, Seo sought assistance from the Korea Entertainment Management Association (연매협) to resolve the unpaid fees issue and submitted a mediation request to the Ethics Committee regarding the misappropriation of her earnings. In response, Kim Sun Ok acknowledged the financial difficulties faced by the agency, stating that they had intended to make payments gradually but were met with refusals. She expressed a willingness to repay the debt as soon as possible, citing the challenging circumstances that have delayed repayment. Additionally, it has been reported that Seo's late mother-in-law, actress Kim Soo Mi, also did not receive her payment of 160 million won for her role in the musical 'Dear Mother'.
