Seo Dong-joo Ties the Knot as June Bride

Broadcast personality Seo Dong-joo is officially becoming a bride today, June 29, as she marries her boyfriend, who is four years her junior, at a wedding hall in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

Seo previously married in the United States in 2010 but divorced in 2014. Since then, she has openly discussed her thoughts on remarriage through various broadcasts. Last July, she revealed her relationship on the TV CHOSUN variety show 'Now, I'm Alone' (이제 혼자다), which garnered significant attention.

Following the announcement of her relationship, reports surfaced that Seo would be getting married on June 29, 2025. A representative from her side confirmed, "Seo Dong-joo is preparing for her wedding with a non-celebrity boyfriend, and the wedding date is set for mid-next year." Seo also shared her excitement about the remarriage, stating, "Since my partner is a non-celebrity, I hope you understand that I cannot share too many details."

In various interviews, Seo has described her boyfriend as being four years younger and standing around 183-184 cm tall. She affectionately refers to him as '멍뭉이' (which translates to 'puppy'), saying, "He resembles a retriever, and I started calling him that."

Their first meeting occurred in a social setting with mutual acquaintances, where they did not exchange numbers initially but eventually connected. Seo mentioned that her boyfriend was the one who liked her first. Recently, it was revealed that her boyfriend works in the management industry and is an executive at a company associated with popular entertainer Jang Sung-kyu.

In preparation for their marriage, Seo purchased a 1.2 billion KRW house in the redevelopment area of Chang-dong, Dobong-gu, which she is currently remodeling to live with her boyfriend. With the help of her mother, Seo Jeong-hee, and her boyfriend, she has been preparing for their new life together, sharing updates on her social media and YouTube channel '또도동'.

Just four days before her wedding, on June 25, Seo shared an unreleased wedding photoshoot on her social media, expressing her excitement with the caption, "Only 4 days left till the BIG day. I'm so nervous!"

Today, surrounded by well-wishers, Seo will ring the wedding bells. The ceremony will be hosted by voice actor Nam Do-hyung, with musician Fromm performing a congratulatory song to bless the couple's future. Fans have been sending their support, having witnessed the couple's affectionate relationship over time.

Seo Dong-joo has completed her Doctor of Juridical Science at a law school in the United States and is currently working as an overseas partner attorney at a domestic law firm. She is also the daughter of broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee and the late Seo Se-won, and has appeared in various entertainment programs such as SBS's 'Goal Diggers' (골 때리는 그녀들) and Netflix's 'Devil's Plan' (데블스 플랜).
