Scandalous Banners Expose Infidelity in Gangnam

In Gangnam, Seoul, two banners revealing infidelity have caught the attention of passersby, one placed in front of a newly constructed apartment complex and another outside an office. Photos of these banners have been circulating on various online communities.

One banner in front of the apartment complex reads, 'Beware of the homewrecker ○○○, who seduced a married man with two children and set up a double life in ○○○dong ○○○ho.' The specific apartment number and name have been obscured with asterisks.

Another banner at a different location states, 'A married man with two kids pretending to be single has been living a double life with his mistress for three years, showing no shame or remorse.' The man's workplace and name have also been pixelated.

Both banners feature a photo of the man and woman together, adding a personal touch to the public shaming.

Hanging such banners could potentially fall under defamation laws. Recently, a woman in her sixties was fined 1 million won for placing a banner outside a friend's clothing store after failing to recover a loan. Similarly, a wife was fined 1 million won in 2022 for posting her husband's conversations with his mistress on social media.
