SBS Drama 'Praying Mantis' Unveils Gripping Teaser Ahead of 2025 Premiere

The highly anticipated SBS drama '사마귀' (Praying Mantis) has generated significant buzz following the release of its teaser video on December 21 during the '2024 SBS Acting Awards'. This crime thriller centers around a mother imprisoned for being a serial killer and a new series of murders that mimic her crimes. Directed by Byun Young-joo, known for the film '화차' (The Chaser), and written by Lee Young-jong, who penned '서울의 봄' (Seoul's Spring), the show features an intriguing cast including Go Hyun-jung and Jang Dong-yoon, raising expectations among viewers.
The teaser opens with Go Hyun-jung, who exudes both innocence and a chilling aura, as she bites into a bright red apple, creating a striking tension paired with dramatic opera music.
Jang Dong-yoon plays Cha Soo-yeol, the son of the serial killer, who becomes a police officer. The teaser showcases his torment as he investigates gruesome crime scenes. Supporting characters played by Jo Sung-ha and Lee El enhance the narrative's depth, while Go Hyun-jung's eerie laughter and her line, "Thank you.
