Sayuri Discusses Parents' Health with Humor on YouTube

In a recent episode of Sayuri's YouTube channel, 'Sayuri's Death Note' (사유리의 데스노트), the host displayed a candid and humorous attitude regarding her parents' health issues. The video, titled 'A Summary of Sayuri's 45-Year Life with My Parents and My Son Zen' (사유리의 금수저 45년 인생 요약 feat. 엄마 아빠 젠), was released on July 10, 2025.
Sayuri's parents are currently in South Korea to help care for her son, Zen. However, their health has been a concern; her mother is a cancer survivor, while her father is currently battling prostate cancer.
In a light-hearted exchange, Sayuri's mother remarked, 'I got better from cancer, and then your father got it,' to which Sayuri responded, 'That's right. When mom got better, the cancer transferred to dad. It goes back and forth as we age.'
Her father added, 'Prostate cancer requires hormone therapy. I have to stop male hormones and take female hormones,' laughing as he spoke in Japanese. Sayuri humorously translated this, saying, 'Because he’s taking female hormones, he’s developing breasts and hair. He joked that with more female hormones, he might become gay. He says he’ll be a B cup in six months,' leaving the production team in shock with her candid translation.
