Ryu Seung-beom Shares Family Love at 'Family Plan' Press Conference

On November 26, 2024, actor 류승범 (Ryu Seung-beom) expressed his deep affection for family during the press conference for the Coupang Play series '가족계획' (Family Plan), held at Mondrian Seoul Itaewon. The event was hosted by 박경림 (Park Kyung-rim) and featured fellow cast members 배두나 (Bae Doona), 백윤식 (Baek Yoon-sik), 로몬 (Roman), 이수현 (Lee Soo-hyun), and creator 김정민 (Kim Jung-min).

'가족계획' (Family Plan) tells the story of a mother with the extraordinary ability to edit memories, who teams up with her family to take down villains. In the series, 류승범 plays the role of 백철희 (Baek Cheol-hee), a somewhat timid father who showers his wife with endless love.

When discussing his choice of character, 류승범 stated, "There were several decisive reasons. Honestly, as soon as I heard the stories from the talented actors here, including 선배님 (senior) 배두나 and 선생님 (teacher) 백윤식, I felt an immediate desire to be part of this project." He continued, "After reading the script, I realized it conveyed a strong message about 'family.' As you know, I recently started my own family, and my mind is constantly filled with thoughts of family. I felt this would be a meaningful experience for me, almost like fate, which is why I decided to participate in this work."

Ryu Seung-beom married his wife, a Slovakian artist ten years his junior, in 2020, and they welcomed a daughter the following year, receiving congratulations from fans and the public alike.
