Ryu Jun-yeol Signs with UAA After Leaving C-JeS Entertainment
Actor Ryu Jun-yeol is set to embark on a new chapter in his career as he joins UAA after parting ways with C-JeS Entertainment. According to industry insiders, Ryu recently had positive discussions regarding an exclusive contract with UAA and has decided to move forward with them.
Ryu's departure from C-JeS comes after over a decade of collaboration. In April, C-JeS announced its intention to cease actor management to focus on production, allowing many of its artists to explore opportunities with other agencies. Ryu, regarded as a significant talent in the industry, attracted considerable attention during this transition, ultimately choosing to partner with UAA, marking a new phase in his acting career.
Ryu Jun-yeol has built an impressive filmography, gaining fame through his role in the hit drama 'Reply 1988' and successfully transitioning between television and film. His notable works include films like 'The Drug King', 'Battle of Bongodong', 'Alien+Human', and 'The Revelation', consistently establishing himself as a sought-after actor. He also coined the term 'Eonam Ryu' (어남류), meaning 'My husband is Ryu Jun-yeol', through his role in 'Reply 1988', and has received acclaim for his diverse performances, including his recent work on 'The Eight Show'. His upcoming project is the Netflix series 'Dulji', co-starring Seol Kyung-gu.
UAA, which represents stars like Song Hye-kyo, Jang Ki-yong, Kim Da-mi, and Ahn Eun-jin, is expected to provide Ryu with exciting new opportunities as he joins their roster.
