Russian Model Dasha Taran Shares Her Struggles on KBS JOY's 'Ask Anything'

On December 23, 2024, Russian model Dasha Taran, who ranked second in the list of the world's 100 most beautiful faces, appeared on KBS JOY's show '무엇이든 물어보살' (Ask Anything). Dasha, who has been living in South Korea for four years, expressed her love for Korean culture and BTS. With an impressive following of 13 million on social media, she caught the audience's attention.
During the show, Dasha revealed her struggle with not having friends her age. She mentioned that many men often ask for her phone number, to which host Seo Jang-hoon humorously suggested that speaking in Russian could be a quick way to escape such situations.
Dasha emphasized that personality is more important than looks, naming Cha Eun-woo (차은우) as her ideal type, which elicited laughter from the audience. She also shared that her happiness contributes to her parents' happiness and introduced her 20-year-old younger brother.
Seo Jang-hoon advised Dasha on how to meet friends her age, noting her impressive Korean language skills for a self-taught learner. He recommended enrolling in a language program at Yonsei University to improve her Korean further and naturally meet peers on campus.
In a segment involving a flag drawing, Dasha drew a flag that indicated potential misfortune, prompting concern from Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun. Seo then asked her to write down her phone number, warning her to be cautious about sharing personal information with strangers. This practical advice resonated with viewers, highlighting the importance of safety in social interactions.
