Running Man's PD Shares Plans for 15th Anniversary

On December 23, 2024, Choi Hyung-in, the producer of the popular SBS variety show Running Man (런닝맨), discussed the show's upcoming 15th anniversary during a phone interview. Since its premiere in July 2010, Running Man has become the longest-running real variety show in South Korea, with Choi taking over as the main director in August 2022 after Choi Bo-pil.
Reflecting on the show's 14th anniversary, Choi expressed a desire to continue providing viewers with a sense of comfort and laughter. He stated, "At this point, after 14 years, there isn't much we haven't shown. I think the best approach is to offer a relaxed kind of humor."
Choi emphasized the importance of the chemistry among the cast members, including the new addition, Ji Ye-eun (지예은), and mentioned the goal of maintaining a lively atmosphere without forcing anything overly dramatic. "We can't do anything drastically new, so let's keep it comfortable," he added.
When asked about plans for the 15th anniversary, Choi mentioned a desire to travel abroad but acknowledged the current global situation might complicate those plans. He promised to provide more details as the new year approaches.
With Ji Ye-eun's addition, the Running Man cast now includes Yoo Jae-suk (유재석), Ji Suk-jin (지석진), Kim Jong-kook (김종국), Song Ji-hyo (송지효), Ha Ha (하하), Yang Se-chan (양세찬), and Ji Ye-eun, making a total of seven members. The show airs every Sunday at 6:10 PM.
