Rosé's Appearances on 'You Quiz' and 'Homes' Postponed Amid Martial Law Aftermath

The aftermath of the martial law declaration and subsequent lifting continues to impact South Korean entertainment, leading to the cancellation of various programs for the second consecutive day. According to OSEN's reports, TV Chosun's 'Miss Three' and tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' which were scheduled to air on December 4, have been canceled, along with MBC's 'Save Me! Homes,' which was set for December 5.

A representative from TV Chosun confirmed to OSEN that 'Miss Three,' originally planned for a 10 PM broadcast on December 4, will not air, and a news special will take its place during that time slot.

The episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' featuring BLACKPINK member Rosé, who is also the star of the global hit song 'APT.,' has been postponed by a week. A tvN representative stated that episode 272 of 'You Quiz' will not air on December 4 and will instead be available next week. The episode will include behind-the-scenes footage of Rosé's collaboration with American pop star Bruno Mars, as well as a surprise video call segment.

While the lifting of martial law has brought some stability back to the broadcasting and entertainment sectors, the cancellations persist. MBC has opted to replace the scheduled airing of 'Save Me! Homes' on December 5 with a special edition of its flagship current affairs program 'PD Notebook.' This decision follows the previous day's discussion on the topic 'The Impeachment of Martial Law After 45 Years,' indicating a focus on current events.

In addition to these cancellations, various entertainment events and shows were abruptly called off following the martial law announcement. On the night of December 3, SBS's 'Whenever' and Channel A's 'Steel Troops W' were interrupted due to breaking news, which was prompted by President Yoon Suk-yeol's emergency address to the nation, leading to the suspension of regular programming.

Other shows, including MBC's 'Radio Star,' 'Village Chief Lee Jang-woo,' SBS's 'The Women Who Can’t Be Stopped - Expanding the Universe,' and MBN's 'I Am a Natural Person,' also canceled their live broadcasts in favor of news and special programming.

The entertainment industry is on high alert, with Netflix series 'Trunk' lead actress Seo Hyun-jin canceling her interviews, and other stars like Kim Soo-hyun, Jung Eun-chae, Nam Yoon-soo, Kim Jae-young, and girl group STAYC also opting to cancel their photo wall events.

Additionally, critics and public figures such as Heo Ji-woong, Kim Ji-woo, Kim Gi-cheon, Lee Dong-jin, Kim Na-young, Park Ho-san, and Bae Cheol-soo have voiced their concerns regarding the chaos caused by the martial law, while G-Dragon quietly liked a social media post that read, 'Just please go away.'
