Rosé Opens Up About Struggles with Negative Comments After BLACKPINK Tour

In a recent appearance on KBS2TV's The Seasons (더 시즌즈), Rosé shared her experiences of dealing with negative comments while working on her new music. During the November 1st episode, she revealed behind-the-scenes stories about her upcoming album, including the title track 'Number One Girl'.

When asked by host Lee Young-ji about working with Bruno Mars, Rosé described him as a perfectionist, saying, "I consider myself a perfectionist too, but he is a hundred times more so. I was really impressed by his vision."

Lee Young-ji jokingly asked if Bruno made things difficult for her, to which Rosé replied, "Now that we're close, I can say that he kept asking me questions about him. I asked how to respond, and he told me to just go out and say, 'I'm CRAZY.'"

Rosé also shared a cute moment where she mentioned that Bruno requested her to express her gratitude in a Korean way after winning an award on a music show. When asked about her favorite Bruno Mars song, she sang a bit of 'Too Good to Say Goodbye'.

Discussing her solo album titled 'R', Rosé explained that it reflects her experiences in her twenties, a challenging time for her. "I wanted to convey stories that might resonate with others, hence the name 'R'."

She elaborated on the title track, stating, "After the BLACKPINK tour, I was in a phase of figuring out what to do next. I found myself scrolling through negative comments online until 5 AM, which was tough. I wanted to write a brutally honest song, even if it made people uncomfortable, and that's how 'Number One Girl' came to be. After writing it, I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders."
