Rosé of BLACKPINK Makes Waves on Billboard Hot 100
Rosé, a member of the popular K-pop group BLACKPINK, has begun to climb the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her latest single 'APT.' As of January 6, 2025, the song has surged to the 5th position, jumping an impressive 29 spots from last week's 34th place. This marks a new personal best for Rosé and sets a record for female K-pop artists on the chart, surpassing her previous high of 8th place and showcasing her global impact.
In addition to her success on the Billboard charts, 'APT.' has also made waves on the UK Official Chart, where it reached the 2nd position, further solidifying Rosé's international appeal.
'Apt.' serves as a pre-release single from her first full-length album 'rosie' and features a collaboration with Bruno Mars, generating significant buzz since its release in October. The song's catchy melody has captivated audiences both in South Korea and around the world.
The inspiration for 'APT.' comes from a popular game in Korea known as the 'Apartment Game.' Rosé shared, "The 'Apartment Game' is one of my favorites; it's simple, fun, and perfect for lifting the mood. One night in the studio, I introduced the game to the staff, and we started working on the song together, which Bruno Mars later joined to complete it."
