Rosé of BLACKPINK Breaks Her Own Record on Billboard Hot 100

Rosé from BLACKPINK has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the 3rd position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her hit song 'APT.' (아파트), surpassing her previous record as the highest-charting female K-pop artist. Additionally, she has topped the January 2025 Idol Brand Reputation Index, showcasing her immense popularity.
On January 27, Billboard announced that 'APT.' climbed two spots from the previous week to reach 3rd place. This marks the 14th week since its release in October 2024, during which it has consistently set new records. Rosé previously held the record for K-pop female artists at 5th place, and 'APT.' debuted at 8th on the Hot 100, making her the first female K-pop artist to enter the Top Ten.
Furthermore, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute revealed on January 28 that Rosé ranked first in their January 2025 Idol Brand Reputation analysis. Following her were Karina from aespa in 2nd place and Cha Eun-woo from ASTRO in 3rd.
The research institute analyzed big data from December 29, 2024, to January 29, 2025, extracting 163,322,138 data points related to 1,730 idols. They measured consumer participation, media presence, communication, and community engagement to determine the brand reputation index. Compared to December's data, there was a 15.89% decrease in overall brand data.
Rosé's brand reputation index was calculated at 8,690,225, with participation at 643,754, media at 720,638, communication at 2,638,084, and community at 4,687,749. This represents a significant drop of 53.84% from December's index of 18,825,475.
Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute's CEO, Koo Chang-hwan, noted that while Rosé's brand ranked first, there were declines in various metrics: brand consumption decreased by 13.60%, brand issues by 10.17%, brand communication by 15.23%, and brand spread by 18.06%.
In terms of keyword analysis, 'release,' 'reverse charting,' and 'appear' were prominent, while 'APT.,' 'Rosie,' and 'vinyl album' were highlighted in keyword searches. The positive sentiment ratio in the big data analysis stood at an impressive 92.97%.
Rosé's first full-length album, 'rosie,' released on December 6, 2024, features 12 tracks, including the global hit 'APT.' Rosé was involved in writing and composing all the songs, sharing her authentic and personal stories.
