RIIZE Takes Legal Action Against Impersonators and Spreaders of False Information

The K-pop idol group RIIZE (쇼타로, 은석, 성찬, 원빈, 소희, 앤톤) is currently pursuing legal action against individuals impersonating their acquaintances and spreading false information. On July 15, 2025, SM Entertainment announced that they have filed complaints against those disseminating falsehoods about RIIZE on specific online platforms. The company highlighted that some of these individuals have been identified as having impersonated the members' friends to create misleading content, and some have already faced legal consequences, including fines, after being referred to the prosecution last year.
SM Entertainment further explained that there have been ongoing incidents where the personal information of the members has been misused to alter or cancel flight bookings, disrupting their schedules. Such actions fall under the crime of obstruction of business and could lead to claims for damages. The agency urged the public to refrain from engaging in any unlawful activities that could lead to serious repercussions.
Additionally, SM Entertainment is calling on fans to actively report any suspicious activities and confirmed that they are monitoring various platforms, including DC Inside, Women’s Generation, Nate Pann, Instiz, Theku, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, for malicious posts targeting the members. They are pursuing both criminal and civil actions against those responsible for these harmful posts.
The agency also noted that false and malicious posts regarding RIIZE's management staff have caused significant harm, and they are collecting evidence to proceed with legal actions against these offenders. They reiterated their commitment to taking a firm stance against any illegal activities related to RIIZE, emphasizing that there will be no leniency for such actions.
In summary, SM Entertainment is dedicated to protecting RIIZE and all aspects related to the group from indiscriminate illegal activities, urging everyone to be cautious to avoid facing legal consequences.
