Rhymer Expresses Desire for Love on Handsome Guys

In the latest episode of tvN's Handsome Guys (일요일엔 핸썸가이즈), which aired on February 2, 2025, Rhymer made a surprise appearance during the show's first-ever character exploration race. The cast, including Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, and Woo Sang-hyuk, met Rhymer, who was born in 1977. Rhymer humorously remarked on the intimidating nature of having a senior like Cha Tae-hyun.

When asked about the longevity of his company, Brand New Music, Rhymer proudly stated, "This year marks 22 years. Aside from the top three entertainment companies in Korea, there are hardly any companies as old as ours. We've been consistently enduring for a long time." He reminisced about starting in a basement while paying a monthly rent of 80, eventually leading to the establishment of their current headquarters, which he described as his 'small fortress.'

Cha Tae-hyun inquired if there was a memorable year for Rhymer, to which he reflected on 2013, saying, "That year was fantastic for us. Whenever we released music, it always topped the charts. It felt so natural to think, 'This will be number one again.' Our artists were at the forefront when hip-hop gained popularity in the mainstream. If I could go back to that time, I feel we could do even better, but this year is incredibly important."

The production team noted that both 2013 and 2025 are years of the snake, prompting an excited Cha Tae-hyun to suggest they should quickly consult a fortune teller.

Rhymer then shared his desire to find a good partner this year, expressing his concerns about balancing work and love. The fortune teller indicated that Rhymer, who has a fiery destiny, could manage both work and romance simultaneously. Rhymer humorously responded, "Work is more important."

It’s worth noting that Rhymer was previously married to broadcaster Ahn Hyun-mo in 2017, but they announced their divorce after six years of marriage.
