Renowned Hip-Hop Producer Oh Seong-hoon Passes Away at 46

Oh Seong-hoon, a celebrated producer and former member of the hip-hop group People Crew, has tragically passed away at the age of 46. According to reports from the music industry, he was found dead in a recording studio in the early hours of February 3. His body has been transferred to Yeongdeungpo Hospital in Seoul, where funeral arrangements are currently being discussed.
Oh was actively involved in music production until recently, and his sudden death has left many in the industry in shock. One industry insider expressed disbelief, stating, "Just a few days ago, we were discussing working together again. I can't believe this is happening."
Born in 1979, Oh Seong-hoon debuted in 1998 with People Crew alongside artists like MC Mong. Initially known for his skills as a b-boy, he later transitioned to songwriting, gaining fame for creating numerous hit ballads, including 'Chukga' for the group Noel.
He co-wrote K.Will's 'Love 119' with Jo Young-soo and penned tracks for artists such as Gummy, including 'Remember All My Days and That Time,' as well as Jayc's 'Love Confession,' Navi's 'My Heart is Hurt,' and KCM's 'Sad Snowman.' He also contributed to various drama soundtracks, including those for 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' and 'The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate.'
In addition to his work as a producer, Oh founded the label Kiya Music, which includes artists like Song Ha-ye.
