Red Velvet's Joy Shows Sisterly Love on MBC's 'I Live Alone'

On July 18, 2025, Joy (조이) from Red Velvet (레드벨벳) made a heartwarming appearance on MBC's 'I Live Alone' (나 혼자 산다), visiting her younger sister's newlywed home. During her visit, Joy noted that many of the furniture and items in her sister's house were things she had previously used. She expressed her admiration for her sister and brother-in-law, saying, "I offered to buy new things for them, but they declined, which I found quite impressive."

Joy and her sister took their dog for a walk, where her sister became emotional, expressing gratitude and remorse towards Joy. Joy reflected on her role as the eldest sister, stating that she often thinks about how much help she should provide to her siblings. She mentioned, "I offered to buy them large appliances, but they turned me down. They said they were grateful for what they could take from me, which was enough for them. I appreciated that."

Joy also shared that her sister is so kind-hearted that she sometimes cries over negative comments directed at Joy. She revealed that she has supported her sister's college tuition, showcasing her strong and supportive sisterly role.

While Joy and her sister were out, her brother-in-law prepared a meal for them, considering Joy's diet in his menu choices. He displayed a caring demeanor, looking after Joy and his wife during the meal.

Joy expressed her admiration for her brother-in-law, saying, "He already brought a congratulatory necklace for my sister. I usually just eat instant rice at home, so it was touching to see him cook rice for us."

She concluded by saying, "Among the three sisters, my younger sister is the kindest and most gentle. She is the one I rely on the most, and I hope she finds happiness. It feels like she is another version of me."
