Ra Mi-ran Reflects on Her Humble Beginnings in 'Tent Outside Europe'

In the latest episode of tvN's entertainment show Tent Outside Europe (텐트밖은 유럽), Ra Mi-ran opened up about her childhood spent in a coal mining village, showcasing her journey to becoming a confident superstar. The episode aired on January 2, 2025, featuring the cast camping in Hallstatt. As the day began, Lee Se-young brewed mocha coffee while Ra Mi-ran and Kwak Sun-young prepared breakfast together, delighting in the meal they created.

The group then crossed the border into Germany, where Ra Mi-ran reminisced about her past. Observing the clear streams, she recalled, "In my hometown, which was a coal mining village, the rivers were black and filled with dust. I was amazed when I saw such clean water at my relatives' house in Gangwon-do." She fondly remembered shouting, "Mom, look at the water!" during her first encounter with pristine streams.

As the members were filmed, locals expressed curiosity, asking what they were shooting. When they learned Ra Mi-ran was a Korean actress, one local inquired about her fame, to which she humbly replied, "Maybe so." Kwak Sun-young chimed in, affirming Ra Mi-ran's status, prompting her to jokingly declare, "Yes, I am a superstar," while playfully scolding Kwak for promoting her too much.
