QWER: The Unstoppable Global Favorite Girl Band Celebrates One Year Since Debut

The girl band QWER (큐더블유이알) is making headlines with their remarkable rise in the music industry, having recently swept the band category awards at major domestic ceremonies.

On November 23, QWER, consisting of members 쵸단, 마젠타, 히나, and 시연, took home the 'Best Band Performance' award at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS JAPAN' held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka. This accolade was awarded for their title track '고민중독' from their first mini-album 'MANITO'.

With this win, QWER has solidified their status as the 'favorite girl band' of the year, following their victories at the '2024 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS' and the '2024 KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS'.

In a heartfelt statement through their agency, 쵸단 expressed, "I am so happy to receive such a wonderful award. I will continue to share heartfelt music with many people. QWER has consistently achieved success with each of their releases, including 'Discord', '고민중독', '가짜 아이돌', and '내 이름 맑음'. Notably, '고민중독' has remained in the top ranks of the Melon monthly chart and YouTube Music weekly chart even seven months post-release. Additionally, '내 이름 맑음' reached third place on the Melon monthly chart in October and has been in the top five of the YouTube Music weekly chart for eight consecutive weeks, showcasing their enduring popularity.

The band's impressive growth is also evident in their album sales, as they set a new record for first-week sales with their second mini-album 'Algorithm's Blossom' and achieved a triple crown on music shows with their title track '내 이름 맑음'.
