Promis9 Members Sign with New Agency Ascend

The girl group Promis9, consisting of members Song Ha-young (송하영), Park Ji-won (박지원), Lee Na-kyung (이나경), Lee Chae-young (이채영), and Baek Ji-heon (백지헌), has officially signed with a new agency, Ascend (어센드). On January 26, 2025, Ascend announced that the five artists have entered into exclusive contracts with them. The agency expressed gratitude for the artists' courage in continuing their group activities, stating, "We sincerely thank the artists for their brave decision to join us and promise to provide unwavering support as they pursue their dreams." They also mentioned that discussions regarding the use of the group name are still ongoing with the previous agency. Promis9 transitioned to Pledis Entertainment in August 2021, which was home to groups like SEVENTEEN and NU'EST. Following the departure of original member Jang Kyu-ri, the group restructured into an eight-member format. Their contract with Pledis ended on December 31, 2024. Before the contract expiration, Promis9 released their single 'from' on December 23, 2024. Ascend aims to create memorable performances and music that resonate deeply with fans, and they are preparing for diverse and meaningful activities in 2025, including album releases and solo concerts.
