Press Screening for 'Trigger' Canceled Due to Aviation Tragedy

'Trigger' (트리거), starring Kim Hye-soo (김혜수) and Jung Sung-il (정성일), has canceled its press screening following a tragic aviation accident. On December 30, the production team announced that the media event scheduled for January 3 at 10:30 AM at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall has been called off, expressing their condolences to the victims and their families. Originally, the screening was set to unveil the Disney+ original series for the first time. However, the decision was made in light of the recent Jeju Air flight disaster that occurred on December 29. The flight, which was arriving from Bangkok, Thailand, tragically went off the runway during landing, resulting in the deaths of 179 individuals, including passengers and crew members, with only two crew members surviving. In response to this tragedy, the government has declared a national mourning period from December 29 to January 4. Other major broadcasters have also canceled year-end award ceremonies or opted for recorded broadcasts instead. Some artists have postponed concerts and promotional activities as a mark of respect. Additionally, a press conference for the film 'Secret' (말할 수 없는 비밀), scheduled for today at 11 AM, has also been canceled.
