Press Conference Held by Yoo Yeon-seok After Cha Soo-bin's Character Goes Missing in 'The Call You Are Currently Making'

In the latest episode of MBC's weekend drama 'The Call You Are Currently Making' (기획 권성창/ 연출 박상우, 위득규/ 극본 김지운/ 제작 본팩토리, 바람픽쳐스), aired on December 28, Cha Soo-bin's character, Hong Hee-joo, jumps into a river to protect Yoo Yeon-seok's character, Baek Sa-eon, after being kidnapped by the true culprit. Despite discovering a vehicle, Hong Hee-joo remains missing.

Yoo Yeon-seok, visibly distressed and unshaven, held a press conference where he revealed, "I have something to tell the public. I have been hiding a truth for a long time. I am not the son of presidential candidate Baek Ui-yong, nor the grandson of Chairman Baek Jang-ho. The name Baek Sa-eon and the identity associated with Baek Ui-yong are both false."

He continued, "My wife was kidnapped two days ago by a person who had been threatening to kill me. Her whereabouts are still unknown. I stand here not as a spokesperson, but as a husband seeking help and cooperation." His heartfelt plea was filled with emotion.

Baek Sa-eon described his wife, saying, "Her name is Hong Hee-joo. She was wearing a black suit at the time of her disappearance and has long black hair. She is a sign language interpreter for the presidential office." He added, "I have not been able to give her the happiness she deserves. I ask anyone who has seen her to please report it. I hope for your attention so that my wife can return safely."
